A 'Beat The Clock' race (to the bar!)

A 5 mile (approx.) 'Beat The Clock' race alongside the River Aire and Leeds and Liverpool canal, organised in association with our good friends at Saltaire Brewery. The race will start and finish at the brewery, with a beer voucher, good for a pint of any of Saltaire's wonderful cask beers. The race clock will be set to 70 mins, and will count down to zero. You decide when you want to start, based on how long you think it will take you to run the course, but you must get back before the clock reaches zero! The winner will be the last person to set off, provided he / she gets back in time. The race should end with a stampede along Dockfield Road back into the brewery yard as the clock mercilessly ticks down to 0:00. Those who leave it too long and fail to 'beat the clock' will be eliminated from the results! Don't worry if this happens to you: you'll still get your race time, and (more importantly) your beer voucher! The brewery’s tap room and VIP bar will both be open until 10.30pm, so the sooner you finish, the longer you will have to slake your thirst!
