This may be the most scenic triathlon you will ever do!

The Bass Triathlon takes place in the only 'lake' in the Lake District. With the excellent facilities provided by the Bassenthwaite Sailing Club and the stunning Lake District location, this promises to be a very memorable event. Registration - 10 AM - 12:00 noon. Safety Briefing – The briefing for both distances will take place at 12:30. Start times - SPRINT 13:00, STANDARD 13:10 Sprint - 750m swim (1 lap), a 16 mile bike and a 3.5 mile run. Standard - 1500m swim (2 laps), 25 mile bike ride and 6 mile run Swim: The swim will take place in the beautiful open water of Bassenthwaite, wetsuits will be compulsory. Bike: The bike ride will take place on undulating roads. Helmets are compulsory for all races, a bike is an essential bit of kit, but as long as it's been serviced and road worthy you can use it. The race is on roads open to other traffic and normal traffic laws but be adhered to at all times.The bike route on your race will be signposted and have marshals to help direct you, however, it's always useful to check the competitor information to check the route before the race. Run: The run will start and finish at the Bassenthwaite Sailing Club and we aim to make this an excellent finish to your race as you are cheered across the line. There are usually drinks stations on the run route, and again the route will be signposted and have marshals. Entry limits - SPRINT 150, STANDARD 150 Pricing - includes the online booking fee. Entry for this event will be £50.00 BTF members /£56.00 non-BTF members for the short distance and £55.00 BTF members/ £61.00 non-BTF members for the standard. *+ £10 on the above for T-Shirt option* *XS TSHIRTS NOT AVAILAIBLE, DO NOT SELECT* If you enter as a BTF member and then fail to produce your license at the event there will will be a £6 day membership fee payable. Cancellation policy: Full refund minus £5 administration cost up to 13th July 2022. No refund after that date.
