A 2 day training camp in the Lake District.

NEP TRAINING WEEKEND - 3rd-4th July (30 places available). We welcome you to the first NEP training weekend in the lake district where we will be covering a broad range of organised running and social activities in the beautiful Ullswater and Penrith region. This is perfect for all abilities and those targeting events over the summer and early autumn. Whether that be the track season, Great North Run or an autumn Marathon, this is a perfect springboard to success. Accommodation: Penrith Premier Inn. You MUST book your own room at https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/england/cumbria/penrith/penrith.html before signing up for the event. Transport to the training camp: We will be meeting at 8:30am on Saturday 3rd July at Tees Barrage, Talpore car park to set off for the training weekend. Car sharing options will be available. Saturday training: a.) Arrive at around 10:15/30am at Ullswater lake for a training session on surrounding fells at Greenside Rd, Glenridding, Penrith CA11 0PD. b.) An organised social activity in the afternoon at Ullswater lake. c.) Optional double run for some athletes from Penrith (3 - 6 miles). d.) Evening social in Penrith including a meal. Sunday training: a.) Morning long run in graded groups from Penrith before breakfast. This will be anywhere from 6 miles to 16 miles. b.) At lunchtime head out to climb the mountain Helvellyn for a nepic experience! c.) We will be driving back on Sunday afternoon. The training cost will be £20 per person, £30 for two/three people from the same family for the whole weekend, this includes all of organised training activities above. Before entering please make sure you book your own accommodation at Penrith Premier Inn. If you are over 18 you may book accommodation elsewhere in Penrith and meet up for the organised activities.
