The EvenSplits York 5K Race Series is staged at the University of York Sport Village, Cycle Circuit. The series consists of ten, monthly, 5K road races split into separate heats depending on your predicted time.   To comply with UKA licencing requirements and our agreement with York Sport, the race format will be as follows: 1. There will be no mass start. This is a time trial measuring your time from start line to finish line. There will be no gun start and there will be no race clock. Your result will be a chip time not a gun time. 2. There will be three start waves based upon your predicted time: Yellow Wave at 19:00, Orange Wave at 19:40 and Green Wave at 20:10. The first time you register, you will need to pay for your season race number (this number is valid for all 10 races in the season but does not guarantee your place) and your race entry fee. Subsequently you will only pay for your race entry fee. CANCELLATION/REFUNDS POLICY 1. IF THE RACE IS CANCELLED AS A RESULT OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, YOUR PLACE WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFERRED TO A NEW RESCHEDULED DATE. 2. IF THE RACE GOES AHEAD, BUT YOU DECIDE NOT TO ATTEND, WE WILL PERMIT A DEFERMENT TO THE NEXT YORK EVENSPLITS 5K THAT YOU CAN ATTEND AS LONG AS YOU REQUEST THIS BY EMAIL TO HELLO@EVENSPLITS.CO.UK NO LATER THAN 5PM ON THURSDAY 3RD DECEMBER 2020. 3. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AND YOUR RACE PLACE CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER RUNNER.
