Open water tri with a choice of distances

After 12 successful years, Paul Drinkwater has handed the management of the Wetherby Triathlon over to EvenSplits. Along with seamlessly replicating (we hope!) the Standard distance open water triathlon, we will also be adding a new Sprint distance as an introduction to open water triathlon. SWIM (1500M/750M) The course starts with a 750m/1500m swim in the river up and down stream. The flow is normally only strong enough to make a minute or so difference to the upstream and downstream legs. The swim start may be split into two waves if entry numbers exceed 200. BIKE (40K/20K) The out and back bike routes are mainly on the fast and quiet A168 to Boroughbridge. RUN (10K/5K) The run is on the traffic free Sustrans cycleway between Wetherby and Spofforth.
