If you’ve raced either of the EvenSplits 5K Races at Leeds or York, you’ll know what to expect from the Hull 5K Races. The races are organised in a series of heats based upon your predicted 5K time. So whether you’re a steady 35 minutes or more, or a speedy 16 minutes or less, you’re all welcome. To comply with UKA licencing requirements (unless these change by race day) and our agreement with Hull Culture & Leisure Sport, the race format will be as follows: 1. There will be a mass start, but this will still be a time trial measuring your time from start line to finish line. Your result will be a chip time not a gun time. 2. There will be three start waves based upon your predicted time: Yellow Wave at 19:00, Orange Wave at 19:40 and Green Wave at 20:10. CANCELLATION/REFUNDS/DEFERRALS POLICY 1. IF THE RACE IS CANCELLED AS A RESULT OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, YOUR PLACE WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFERRED TO A NEW RESCHEDULED DATE. 2. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AND YOUR RACE PLACE CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER RUNNER. 3. THERE ARE NO DEFERRALS.
