REGISTER AS A SPECTATOR FOR THE BIG FLAT RUNWAY RACES

In order to manage the number of people on site during the event and to comply with track and trace responsibilities, we require all supporters over the age of 16 to pre-register. Following the recent rises in infection rates locally and regionally, City of York Council has imposed new conditions on the event, to which we must adhere for the event to proceed. First, and most significantly, we can no longer permit spectators at the side of the track (with the exception of a marathon supporter – see below). If you do not need to attend, then please stay at home. If you do need to accompany a runner (for example because they cannot drive to the event) you must remain in or by your car during their run. You must not stand on the side of the track. If you need to leave your car (e.g. to buy a drink or use the toilet), we ask that you wear a face covering at all times (legitimate exemptions apply). With regards to marathon support, the previous instructions with regards to the feed zone still apply, but only one adult (plus dependent children where necessary) per runner is permitted in the feed zone. We ask that the adult wear a face covering at all times and respect 2m distancing with competitors and other marathon supporters. No one else is permitted in the feed zone or anywhere by the side of the track. If any other people must attend they must remain in or by their cars as above. Second, please note that by attending this event on Sunday you are affirming that you (or anyone in your household) have not tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days and that you (or anyone in your household) do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 (see here https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms/). Children's details do not need to be registered, but please state how many children (if any) will be accompanying you.
