Race 5K and/or run in the end of season relays

For the Leeds 5K on 22nd June we’re shaking things up a bit because it’s the end of the first season of 2022. There’ll be the usual chance to run a 5K, but in addition there’ll be a relay (3 x 1 mile) and an end of season prize-giving and social. First, if you want to run a 5K as normal you can do that. All 5K runners will run in one heat at 7:15pm. There’s nothing different you need to do; just enter and race as normal. Second at 8pm there will be a relay race. The race will be 3 x 1 mile legs. To take part in this all you need to do is team up with two others (they can be friends, family, fellow club members, whoever, as long as they have a paid entry and assigned race number for the evening). Teams can be made up of all male, all female or mixed. To take part in the relay you must sign up at https://racebest.com/races/8kaf8 before 5pm on Monday 20th June. And finally, after the relay has finished there will be a prize giving and social from 8:30 on the grass opposite the transition area. Bring your own food and refreshments (no BBQs allowed). We will be crowning the first 5K club champions and giving prizes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd men The Brownlee Centre Cycle Circuit is an accurately measured road 5K offering the opportunity for you to achieve your 5K personal best. When you enter for the first time you will be assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip which can be used at both Leeds and York 5K. You will collect this number from Registration the first time you race. If you have a previously issued RED 5K race number (e.g. from 2020-21) you can use that again in 2022 (you must record this number on your entry form). If you have a previously issued 5K number in a different colour, this is no longer valid and can be swapped for a free RED 5K race number at Registration the first time you race. All entrants are entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period. Subsequent replacements will be charged at £4 thereafter.
