Age categories (based on school year): 1 Mile - Boys & Girls Years 4 - 6; 2 Mile - Boys & Girls Years 7 - 9, Boys & Girls Years 10 - 12. Minimum age for entrants are Year 4 (1 mile) and Year 7 (2 mile).

Due to time constraints imposed by the senior race, entry is restricted to runners with predicted finishing times of no longer than 20 minutes (2 mile) and 12 minutes (1 mile). An off-road ʻfun runʼ (starting at 8.45am, and which may be entered on the day) is open to all.
