The Vale of York Half Marathon, the fast, flat, PB-loving half marathon in aid of Sue Ryder is back for 2021. The race starts and finishes just outside Wistow, and runs 13.1 flat miles on scenic closed roads south of York and north of Selby. For the novice runner this is still the perfect introduction to a longer distance. For the more seasoned racer it remains a genuine PB opportunity. And for those training for an autumn marathon it fits perfectly into your training schedule. Follow the event on Twitter and Facebook to get all the news on our seventh year. To address the environmental impact of our races, we are asking you to choose whether you wish to buy a finisher's technical t-shirt and to opt in or out of the finisher's medal. If you opt out of the finisher's medal we'll donate £2 to our charity partner Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. PLEASE NOTE: T-shirts now only available in XS, S and M sizes. All other sizes have sold out.

If, however, the race is cancelled due to COVID-19 related issues, your place will automatically be transferred to a new rescheduled date. While places are still available and it is more than 4 weeks until race day, you may apply in writing for a refund, which will be subject to a refund processing charge of £3. By entering this race, you agree to these terms and conditions.

There will be no permitted race place transfers after Friday 4th September 2021. Anyone found to be running in someone else's name, will be disqualified and their details will be passed to UK Athletics.
