Dentdale Run 2027

Dent, Yorkshire Dales   £21.00 - £23.00

A beautifully scenic road race in the heart of the Dales

You can choose between the traditional (approximately 14.2 mile course) or a new 10km course depending on what suits you best. The traditional loop course will start at 1200 and is entirely along the narrow lanes up and down Dentdale. The 10k race will start at 1315. The course takes you through the cobbled heart of Dent village and in a loop up and down Dentdale along scenic lanes before returning to the village. It features approximately 150m of footpath across a footbridge and pasture land. Both courses are testing with hilly profiles. Many runners use the traditional race as final training for the London Marathon. Both courses run through some of the most breathtaking views and scenery you will see on a race. Mile markers and a half marathon mark will be in place on the traditional course and km markers on the 10km course. As a reward for your efforts the organisers provide free tea/coffee, sandwiches and cakes at the finish. Trophies and prizes are awarded for both distances. The race is organised primarily as a fund raiser for the village primary school with all profits going directly to the school to aid in providing a better education for local children. Come along and try us out (or come back if you have raced before) - you won't be disappointed!
